NCMCA members were joined by masonry students and instructors from West Rowan, North Stanly, Montgomery Central, and Jesse Carson High Schools on an early September afternoon to install a house slab foundation in Stanly County. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward new association projects related to the NCMCA’s workforce and training initiative. Concrete masonry units and mortar were donated by Johnson Concrete Products, and Triangle Brick Company contributed the brick. Builder Wes Joyner worked with NCMCA’s Ryan Shaver to arrange for the fundraiser. Participating member firms also included Helms Masonry, Carolina Masonry & Concrete, Gates Construction Company, and Seagraves Masonry. Photograph by Lainey Love.
