Tim Manning, center, facing the students, and Manning Masonry are now partners in Pitt County Schools' “Tradesformers” program. According to the website, “Tradesformers is a youth apprenticeship program designed to connect talented students with growing industry trades in our area. By providing opportunities with fundamental training, skills, and expertise, our future workforce will be well equipped with the skills to grow a successful career. An industry-led initiative, participants work closely with the school system, the local community college and community partners to address skill needs and gaps. Apprentices gain on-the-job training, related classroom instruction, all while earning a base pay rate while they learn valuable skills to advance in their field.” Tim is pictured addressing students at Farmville Central High School in October.
