Changing of the Guard

James “Bo” Black, Jr. of Carolina Masonry Unlimited (right) was elected as the new President of NCMCA at the Association’s March annual business meeting in Greenville, SC. His first duty as new president, President Black recognized Danks Burton (left) with a plaque for his service as outgoing president. Burton of Pinnacle Masonry moves to the position of Chairman of the Board. Also elected for the 2022-2024 term are Cliff McGee, McGee Brothers Company, President-Elect; Tim Manning, Manning Masonry, Secretary/Treasurer; Lynn Nash, Executive Vice President; Doug Burton, Whitman Masonry, Eastern Regional Vice President; Brandon Hartsell, Gates Construction Company, Central Regional Vice President; and Don Caldwell, C & R Masonry, Western Regional Vice President. NCMCA Workforce Development and Training Coordinator Ryan Shaver was approved for promotion to Executive Vice President/Chief Executive Officer effective in September 2022 when Nash steps down from that position in preparation for retirement at the end of May 2023.
